Egya Kow Amissah Ghana name ( official name) Frank-Alex Blessed-Amisah) was born in Takoradi, Western Region of Ghana to (George Amissah of Abreshia Elmina)  Martha Blessed-Mensah of Sekondi-Nkotompo in Ghana. Bornblack lost his Mother at the Age of 9 month so in his first 5 Years of Life was in Abreshia, and later in Elmina. Bornblack attended the Methodist School Elmina and Completed in 1975. Later the Ghana Vocational Training Instituted and the Benetten College of London. After his Education his Father also died in Jan. 1978. Bornblack was train with Discipline, Respectful and with sense of justice.   

As child he was in the School and Church choir. He sang all the Music from Bob Marley, Jimmy Cliff und Eric Donaldson which was running on GBC. At the age of 12 he started writing his own song. Bornblack experienced Corruption in early time of his life. He passed Common entrance in 1973 to go the High School. But rich person pay and get his space at St. John´s Secondary School . In 1975 he was the only one from the 4 Middle School in Elmina who passed the Common Entrance and the same thing happens again. After his Qualification as Welder with “Grade One”, 1978 he applied and was Tested  for Job at Tema “Valco” Where he also Couldn’t get the Job because of Corruption.

Bornblack lost the Trust in Ghana and went to Nigeria as guest worker from 1979 till 1983. He was among the repatriation from Ghanaians from Nigeria (Ghana must go). In Ghana was a difficult for him, so he return Back to Nigerian and Later to Germany in 1984 where he Leave till now.

Bornblack was married to Brigitte Kaufmann and have two Kids (Kimberly and David). He later Married Anja Hermanns and also have 2 kids (Angle and Jemmy)  Bornblack produce his First Single, “Egyankaba Kwesi” 1994. Which was a hit in Ghana? In 1996 his first Studio Album “ Turnin-a-Round” The Best in Ghanaian studio album 1919 from ONE WORLD. Bornblack Toured in Europe with U Roy, Burning Spear, Sofia Georg, Solar System from Alpha Blondy. Turning –a-round was an International breakthrough in 2000 he stop Professional music on Family reasons and now he is building a recording Studio in Ampenyi for the Less privileged people in Ampeniy-via-Elmina, Central Region Ghana. www.Bornblackmadia.com.
